Varozza Vineyards is a small family owned winery in St. Helena, CA. We make Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. Our annual production is around 500 cases a year. The winery and vineyards have been in the Varozza family since 1913. The winery was built in 1885 and is celebrating 125 years in 2010. The vineyard has seven varietals that we sell to small wineries.

In the beginning...

Our very first blog for Varozza Vineyards. We hope to keep everyone up to date with what is going on at the winery and in the vineyards. This is actually good timing as Jack is finally able to get out and get some work done. There was so much rain this year that we actually had a miny lake deep enough for Mallards to swim in.

Jack has been working every night to get the mowing, discing and cultivating caught up. Of course we are still having a small amount of rain here and there so the sulfuring and discing will go on for a while longer.

The vineyard loves all this rain.

We bottled the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2007 Petite Sirah as well as the 931 Napa Valley Red Wine on April 10th. Thank you to all the friends and family that came to help. Pictures are available at our website http://www.varozzavineyards.com/.

The 2008 and 2009 are still safe in barrel waiting for their turn.
